who
we are
Morgan Kelly Solicitors (originally Sarah Edmunds Legal) was created in December 2008 by me, Sarah Kelly (nee Edmunds/Morgan), with the intention of providing legal services in a refreshing way. I qualified as a solicitor in 2004 at the age of 26, and have specialised in property work since that time. In 2008 I diversified to provide Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, particularly to elderly and business clients. Along the way, I have developed a strong team who hold similar values and work in a similar way to me and are completely committed to providing the highest quality legal services in the most effective fashion. Ultimately, we love what we do and this allows us to provide a service which is second to none.
I have always believed that if you instruct someone professional, you expect them to have all appropriate qualifications and experience in that field. You expect us to know enough about the law to give you the correct advice. What you do NOT necessarily expect from a lawyer is excellent service. We spend much of our time improving our levels of service, whilst (of course) keeping our own legal knowledge and skills up to date by continuous training.

Sarah Morgan-Kelly
Owner and director
I qualified as a solicitor in December 2004 and have worked in the legal profession since 1997. I began practising in residential conveyancing in 2002, giving me many years of hands-on experience in this area. I am continually looking to refine and improve processes and procedures, ensuring they reflect the needs and expectations of modern clients.
I personally undertake all legal work and handle each transaction myself, so clients benefit from a consistent, professional, and genuinely personal service from start to finish
In 2025, I qualified as a Solicitor-Advocate in Criminal Litigation. I am deeply passionate about developing the practice’s criminal law work, including both defence and prosecution agency work, with a particular focus on advocacy in the Crown Court.
Alongside my legal practice, I served as a Magistrate for many years, which has given me valuable insight into the justice system from a judicial perspective.
Outside work, I practise traditional karate several times a week and also enjoy CrossFit. I have a keen interest in circus skills, as well as more creative pursuits such as knitting and crochet - and I have a well-known appreciation for shoes, jewellery, and handbags.

Emma Gearing
I joined Sarah after working for many years in local government, bringing with me a real passion for legal work, property, and supporting clients through the services we provide. Over the years, I’ve developed a wide range of skills and have become known for being a true “Donna” — someone with strong problem‑solving abilities, a knack for navigating complex situations, and a steady presence when challenges arise.
I really love that our clients can turn to me for guidance and support, and I’m committed to ensuring that all transactions run smoothly while treating everyone as an individual.
Property can be an emotional and stressful experience for anyone, so I’m genuinely happy that my clients can rely on me for my exceptional admin skills, a pretty good memory alongside a good sense of humour and warm attitude. What matters most to me is building genuine connections and making sure people feel understood and looked after, because its not just a transaction to our clients, it’s a BIG deal to them, so they deserve to be looked after throughout.
I take pride in everything I do, and I always aim to bring warmth, clarity, and professionalism to every interaction.
Outside of work, I’ve developed a real passion for fitness and am currently training hard to compete in functional fitness events across the UK. When I’m not doing that, you’ll usually find me spending quality time with my husband Neil and our cocker spaniel, Tilly. We love taking short weekend breaks, walking, and enjoying the countryside.

Our commitment
We have adopted a number of key service standards which have seen our client base grow exponentially over time.
We understand that our clients are busy working, running businesses, looking after children and spending time with family. We:
• Guarantee to deal with all correspondence on the same day we receive it
• Guarantee to return all missed calls within 4 working hours
• Are available to talk and meet with our clients outside of office hours
We have no desire to grow Morgan Kelly Solicitors into a large practice – we believe it is better to have a small, committed team. We charge a fair price for the work we do, which enables us to take on manageable workloads and provide a speedy, yet thorough, specialist service.
It has always been important for us to add value to the service we provide so, in addition to the above, we also work with a network of trusted colleagues who are able to provide services such as mortgage brokers, surveyors, accountants, tax advisers and financial planners. We would never recommend someone we would not or have not used ourselves.
